Are you obsessed with making, having the need to keep your hands and mind busy, always chasing the next project, aspiring to make for a living?

Have you ever watched a film, a theatre show, a parade, played a computer game, been to an exhibition, looked in a shop window and thought, “Wow, that’s amazing, I would love to be able to make stuff like that!”

If the answer is “YES” then read on as we may be able to help you make the dream a reality.

We are a Foundation Degree in Prop making and Special Effects. This is a two year full time course that is equivalent to the first 2 years of a BA (Hons). We are vocationally focused, this means we are highly practical and believe that training should be as the current industry requires, exploring the latest materials and methods.

We actively look for commissions to challenge our students and enable them to showcase their abilities. We consider all sizes of project and will consider all levels of project from the small make to large scale professional projects.

All students get to work in industry as part of the course and recent graduates have worked at Leavesdon studiosElstree studios on feature films, the National theatre on Warhorse, and the Olympic opening ceremony.

So….please explore this site, contact us for a chat, or arrange a visit. Everyone is welcome and mature students are encouraged to apply.
