The entry requirements are varied for this course, as age, experience and talent all come into consideration so it is always worth applying or coming in for a chat to see if the course would be suitable for you.

At interview we will be looking for a passion for the subject and this should come across when discussing your work. We also look for creativity and an obsession for making and designing. Hobbies are very important to us as they show your focus and commitment to the subject, so whether you are into LARP, Cos-play, model making, part of a local theatre company or just love to sculpt, then its always worth getting in touch.

  • BTEC Level 3 Diploma or Extended Diploma in theatre production/fine art/product design/ textiles or similar creative course…
  • 2+A Levels -(including at least one relevant subject, practical or artistic)
  • Foundation Studies Diploma in Art & Design/Media

All candidates will be invited to attend an interview. Success at interview comes from various sources. A portfolio with any or all of the following work, illustration, design, technical, graphic, models, sculpture of various materials and a passionate discussion about making and your interests will help you to secure a place. We work hard in the first year of the course to help you develop your weaknesses and empower your strengths so that all students have a fully rounded skill set as a maker.
