Prop making and manufacturing for the arts industries can be exceptionally wasteful. As a course dedicated to design and making we underpin our entire delivery with environmental and green practices wherever possible.

This year (2022) we have launched an initiative to divert the offcuts and ends from local companies to be repurposed by students at GBMC. This is enhancing companies green credentials, creating cost savings for students by having access to a wider range of free materials and any excess will be diverted to local schools and organisations, creating a local circular economy of reuse, repurposing and recycling.

We are constantly on the lookout for more partners and grateful to those that have chosen to support us.
