Are you obsessed with making, having the need to keep your hands and mind busy, always chasing the next project, aspiring to make for a living?
Have you ever watched a film, a theatre show, a parade, played a computer game, been to an exhibition, looked in a shop window and thought, “Wow, that’s amazing, I would love to be able to make stuff like that!”
If the answer is “YES” then read on as we may be able to help you make the dream a reality.
We are a Foundation Degree in Prop making and Special Effects. This is a two year full time course that is equivalent to the first 2 years of a BA (Hons). We are vocationally focused, this means we are highly practical and believe that training should be as the current industry requires, exploring the latest materials and methods.
We actively look for commissions to challenge our students and enable them to showcase their abilities. We consider all sizes of project and will consider all levels of project from the small make to large scale professional projects.
Hello,
My name is paddy , I’m 17 years old and I’m doing my A-levels at this point in time. I’m in my first year and I am already looking ahead to what I would like to do for a job why I’m done. I was wondering if there is a age that you have to be to take part in the course and what qualifications you need. I’m studying Graphics, art design and, media and computing at A-levels. Please let me know what advise you would give to me to do after A-levels.
Many thanks
Paddy
Hi Paddy, the Course is a degree level course so starting age is 18 years old. Your current A levels would be applicable, but we base most offers on interview, portfolio and a passion for the subject, so get creative and photograph everything, creative hobbies included, and come to an open day to have a look around and see if we offer what you are looking for,
This very much so speaks the truth,
my life drive is heading this way!, can you lend me a hand along the way to what i want to do with my life!!!!!..( sent an email)
